The Danielle, quick & dirty
I'm 31, I grew up in Southern California, and I've been in Oakland for 10 years. I've dropped out of some of the most prestigious colleges in the country, mostly because after you get your degree they don't let you go to class anymore. I love school and learning that much. Which is one of the reasons I'm a good tutor. Excitement about education is infectious!
Currently, I'm a community college student planning to transfer to a civil engineering or mathematics program this spring at SFSU or Cal.
Experience
I've been tutoring all my life. I have four little sisters, and my parents don't like math, so I always got stuck helping the little rascals with their algebra homework. I've volunteered through Oakland Public Library's Adult Literacy program too. I got started doing private tutoring for students through College of Alameda. Budget cuts forced the College to severely cut hours. Some of my regular students asked if they could hire me. I said sure. And now I have a website, and you can hire me too.
